Preparing for AED 2021 Summit: Safe and Secure, On Your Terms!

New year, new Summit dates,  now taking place May 24-26, 2021

AED is bringing the 2021 Summit to the lively city of Las Vegas, where the sky’s the limit! Summit is the industry’s safest interactive and innovative equipment distribution event in North America. In fact, it is the only event taking place this year that provides access for members to conduct necessary business in person with dealers, manufacturers and service providers.

However, the health and safety of our members, employees and partners is our highest priority. In light of the ever-evolving COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Summit will now be held from May 24 to 26, in person at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, along with a virtual option. This decision was made after careful consultation with AED’s chairman, Ron Barlet, and senior AED staff.

The Association has been working with The Mirage to develop a plan that features detailed protocols for incorporating health and safety into every aspect of Summit, such as virtual site inspections, creative catering options and venue arrangements that meet all physical distancing requirements. A few of the in-person safety precautions that are being implemented include social distancing, required face masks, frequent sanitizing stations and contactless registration. To learn more about Summit safety protocols, please visit the Summit’s home page at aedsummit.com.

Although the dates have changed, the 2021 Summit’s schedule of events remains the same. Attendees will participate in professional education sessions, browse vendors on the CONDEX floor, participate in hospitality suite meetings, and hear from world-class speakers. When you attend Summit, whether in person or virtually, you will still get all the same great programming, and we will continue to navigate any unnecessary health risks.

Attendees who choose to go the virtual route will have access to featured speakers, education and general sessions. If you are currently registered to attend in person, you can switch to the virtual option at any time. If you wish to do so, please email an AED staff member at help@aednet.org.

Although 2020 was unique and difficult for everyone, we are excited to be able to host Summit later this year. Mark your calendars, book your flights and reserve your rooms!
