As we look forward to 2020, there is no better time to start preparing for what the rest of the year has in store. Not only does AED offer events that provide dealer-specific education to enhance the various areas of the dealership, but the Association has accessible tools available to you as well.
Our mobile app provides you with up-to-date information on all things AED; this includes our online store, previous issues of CED Magazine, and networking opportunities with other member users and the AED team. The app can be downloaded from the Apple App and Google Play Store.
CED serves as a platform to inform subscribers on industry-related issues, member news, and other essential updates. Did you know that the magazine is easily accessible online at www.cedmag.com? Here, you can effortlessly search for featured articles, view current news and announcements from fellow members, explore trending industry-related topics, and browse through a catalog of full issues and articles from the past.
The AED Membership Directory houses an easy-to-search database of both individuals and organizations connected to AED and The AED Foundation. This is especially useful because it allows users to find names, positional titles, contact details and other valuable information in just a few clicks. Visit www.aednet.org to browse the directory today.
The AED Foundation’s Certified Technician Program / Technical Assessments
The AED Foundation’s Certified Technician Program is the first of its kind for the equipment distribution industry. The program offers dealers the opportunity to measure the expertise of their technicians, as well as market that knowledge to their customers. We know that well-qualified and committed technicians add profitability and customer satisfaction to your dealership.
Industry Research and Reports
The Association and The AED Foundation fund industry-specific research and develop reports that advance the importance of workforce development and share data with various components of the industry like legislators, educators, the media, and other stakeholders. Research is a critical component because it helps quantify the challenges the equipment industry faces and allows it to leverage the power of the industry to drive meaningful change.
The AED Foundation will be releasing a report in March that examines the impact of public policy/AED Foundation efforts on the technician shortage issue. For more information on industry research and reports, please visit www.aedfoundation.org.
These tools are all included with your AED membership at no additional cost. We want you to take full advantage of the services that AED provides your business to help you enhance your involvement in the industry and advance your organization’s mission. AED thanks you for your continuous support, and we look forward to helping your dealership succeed.
