As the year progresses, we continue to see the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak. This is an unusual situation for all of us, and I want our members to know that AED is here to support you in this time of uncertainty. For over 100 years, we have taken pride in being a valued resource. Our members are our top priority, and we want to continue to provide you with quality education and career development opportunities, offering the tools necessary for your business to flourish through adverse times.
Given the present situation, it is important to the association that we continue to plan ahead to ensure the industry’s future stability and success. I know now, more than ever, how important it is for AED to provide material to help your business excel and prepare for what is ahead. There’s no better time to ready your employees for future uncertainty and to discover how you can personally make a difference in your organization.
The association wants to assure you that we are here for you and are preparing for the days ahead. AED has several events planned to set you up for success in anticipation of a new sense of normalcy this fall. These events will offer exceptional opportunities to grow your network and expand your industry knowledge.
The Leadership Conference scheduled for late August, “Leading Your Team Through Crisis and Change,” will have a particular focus on providing your employees in leadership positions with the skills and tools necessary to lead through these times. This conference will allow participants to gain valuable knowledge from industry leaders and to advance their business relationships. It will also supply them with the knowledge to create a plan for their business’s future. The conference will touch on essential prioritization techniques and new technology that will help you to keep your business running smoothly through these unorthodox times. It will also cover timely topics such as dealing with uncertainty and identifying and strengthening weak spots in your business.
Additional events later this year, include the Executive Conclave, the Financial/HR Symposium and the Women in Equipment Distribution Roundtable. The association feels a responsibility to look ahead and provide events that will strengthen the members’ businesses and our industry as a whole.
