Summit Golf Outing Raises $17,000+
Foundation fundraising events support industry-specific professional education and workforce development.
In the early morning on Wednesday Jan. 20, a busload of golfers arrived at The Quarry Golf Club for a great day of camaraderie and fun to benefit The AED Foundation. Thanks to the generous sponsors and golfers, more than $17,000 was raised to help fund Foundation programs and services.
Golf sponsors were: event co-sponsor Sentry Insurance, “true friend” sponsor Wells Fargo Construction, and hole sponsors Collateral Specialists, Equipment Data Associates-EDA, Liebherr Construction Equipment Co. and AED Web Services. Maintainer Corp. and Service Trucks International were Hole-In-One sponsors – nobody won one of the service truck prizes this year, but there’s always Orlando – mark your calendar for Jan. 26, 2011.
A Winning Event – The Third Annual Live Auction Benefit
During the TGIF Party on Friday, Jan. 22, The AED Foundation and Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers conducted the third annual live auction benefit, which raised nearly $30,000 to support the Foundation’s workforce development and professional education initiatives. The auction included exquisite jewelry, golf, fishing and spa trips, fine wine, art, collectibles and a Canadian train adventure.
Seventeen generous auction donors included BLS Enterprises, Inc., Bomag, Case Construction Equipment, Caterpillar, Caterpillar Financial, EPG Insurance, FCC Equipment Financing, Industrial Seats Div. of United Group, IronPlanet, JCB Inc., JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country, Komatsu America Corp., Liebherr Construction Equipment, LiuGong Construction Machinery N.A., Ritchie Bros Auctioneers, The Quarry Golf Club and Vermeer Corp.
