IACET Awards 'Authorized Provider' Status to The AED Foundation

The AED Foundation offers the best in professional education and has seal of approval from The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to prove it.

The AED Foundation has secured the renewal of its Authorized Provider status through IACET, the premier standard-setting organization for continuing education and training providers. The AED Foundation’s Authorized Provider status ensures that The Foundation’s professional education programs and courses meet the very highest standards for quality and content.

IACET Authorized Providers complete a comprehensive application and undergo a strict evaluation of their educational processes. For The AED Foundation, the application process took nearly six months to complete and produced an application totaling 300 pages.

"IACET required us to prove that each and every program and course that The AED Foundation offers is constructed and executed with excellence," said Alison Wechman, The AED Foundation’s manager of professional education. "We were able to show with consistency that our programs are top-notch and thus, of great value to our members."

The AED Foundation's industry-specific professional education programs and courses are a benefit available to all AED members. "Our courses and programs are position-specific and industry-specific," said Wechman. "We offer content for nearly every profit center of the dealership: Parts, service, sales, and rental, as well as branch operations management. Even our people management and customer management courses are presented in the context of an equipment dealership."

The AED Foundation's Authorized Provider status enables The Foundation to award program and course participants with Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The CEU is the standard currency for professional education in many industries. The ability to award CEUs signifies that The Foundation's programs are rigorous and valuable for learners.

The AED Foundation offers certification programs based on CEUs in branch operations management, parts management, service management, and rental management. AED Certified Managers are part of an exclusive class of professionals who have met the rigorous certification standards set forth by AED and The AED Foundation.
