Plans are underway for the third annual AED Foundation/Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Live Auction.
January may seem like a long way off, but The AED Foundation is already hard at work preparing for the third annual “Once in A Blue Moon Auction” set for Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at AED’s Annual Meeting & CONDEX in San Antonio.
Fabulous items have already begun to roll in from such generous sponsors as LiuGong Construction Machinery N.A., BLS Enterprises, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers and the Industrial Seats Division of United Group.
“We’re delighted at the response we’re getting from auction donors and bidders to this exciting event,” said Carol Schrader, director of development for The AED Foundation.
The AED Foundation/Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Live Auction, set for the AED Chairman’s Inaugural Evening, will raise funds for The Foundation’s professional education initiatives, including updates and new educational offerings aimed at helping AED member dealers retain employees and make a positive impact on the bottom line.
“We strive to provide support for our members through our services,” said Schrader. “Funds from the auction are critical to our ability to provide affordable, industry-specific products and services to our members.”
The AED Foundation’s professional education programs, seminars and courses are accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to ensure the highest quality content and structure. The AED Foundation offers courses and seminars in operational best practices, selling, customer service, leadership and management. The AED Foundation also offers the construction equipment industry’s only management certification program.
“The AED Foundation’s programs help to raise the level of professional performance throughout the industry,” said Schrader.
How Can You Help?
AED members may elect to donate an item for inclusion in the 2010 auction. All donated items are tax deductible. The AED Foundation recognizes donors by including the donor’s company logo in numerous publications and promotions as well as during AED’s Annual Meeting and CONDEX.
“Donating an auction item is a great way to get your name out to the rest of the industry and support The AED Foundation at the same time,” said Schrader.
