Live Auction Raises $50,000
Thanks to the generosity of the auction donors and bidders, the Second Annual AED Foundation Live Auction was a success.
AED members showed their generosity and support of The AED Foundation’s mission at the Second Annual AED Foundation/Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Live Auction Jan. 16 in San Diego.
The auction raised more than $50,000 for The AED Foundation’s professional education initiatives, which include the industry’s only management certification program, as well as a variety of industry-specific courses.
Seventeen items were up for auction, including exciting adventures, fabulous jewelry, legendary golf and spa packages,
as well as state-of-the-art electronics. The AED Foundation would like to thank the very generous auction donors, as well as congratulate the lucky high bidders.
The 2009 auction sponsors were: Ritchie Bros. 2008 Certified Managers Honored
Before a large crowd at the 2009 AED University Managers Conference Jan. 17 in San Diego, AED Foundation Chairman, R. Dale Vaughn of OCT Equipment and executive director Steve Johnson conducted a ceremony to recognize The AED Foundation’s Certified Managers of 2008.
Eleven people received their management certification in 2008. Three were present for the ceremony:
- Jason McCluer, service manager, Bejac Corp. in Placentia, Calif., has completed AED Parts Management Certification and AED Service Management Certification.
- Jason Mahrer, service manager, General Equipment and Supplies in Fargo, N.D. Mahrer has completed his AED Service Management Certification.
- Dave Robertson, service manager, General Equipment and Supplies in Fargo, N.D. Robertson has completed his AED Service Management Certification.
