Godwin Pumps, a portable rental pumps manufacturer, has announced promotions within its North American operations. Mark O'Sullivan has been promoted to district manager of its Richmond, Va., and Raleigh, N.C., locations. In his new role, O'Sullivan will assist the branch manager in monitoring day-to-day business, mentoring personnel and helping to create business growth. He retains responsibility for the Richmond branch.Tom Vance will now head the Upper Marlboro, Md., branch. Vance's promotion follows on the heels of an eight-year run as one of Godwin's top sales producers, in what has consequently become one of its most successful branch locations. Jennifer Saindon has been promoted to office manager for the Norwich, Conn. branch. Also, Pat Redmond has been promoted to service manager at the Helena, Mont. location. Empire Crane has opened two new branch locations in Netcong, N.J., and Wrentham, Mass. Both facilities have certified technicians and equipment on site to service customer units either at the location or in the field. This expansion allows Empire Crane to effectively cover its northeast territory for sales and service with the numerous cranes that have been sold in the New England and New Jersey areas. Empire Crane, based in North Syracuse, N.Y., is the authorized dealer for the complete Terex Cranes lines, in addition to Mantis, Grove, YardBoss and Elliott boom trucks.AED's Western Regional Director Gale L. Plummer has accepted a new role of executive vice president and general manager for Cummins West, Shanahan Equipment Co. based in San Leandro, Calif. Plummer maintains responsibility for all Cummins sales, product support and operations as well as all of the Komatsu business. The key areas of responsibility in his new role are: customer service center operations, Komatsu unit sales, process support, technology and educational support, aftermarket sales and Cummins unit sales. Cummins West has been selling and servicing Cummins powered products in California since 1933. Shanahan Equipment Company has been the exclusive Komatsu distributor for northern and central California since 2002.Les Bebchick has announced that Tony McGreavy will join the team at Equipment & Systems for Industry Inc. (ESI) as the director of sales for all regions, including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. McGreavy began his career with construction equipment 24 years ago and has worked as an operator, salesman, asset manager and director of sales for contractors and equipment dealerships. ESI, headquartered in Hopkinton, Mass., provides equipment and services to the aggregate processing industry and represents Cedarapids, Eagle Iron Works, Pegson, Breaker Technology Inc., Terex Construction, Esco, Major Wire and Erie Strayer.Kennametal has announced the appointment of Texas Contractors Equipment in Houston as its new distributor in the sales and service of all Kennametal construction tool products for the counties covering southeast Texas. Kennametal is a global supplier of tooling, engineered components and advanced materials that are consumed in production processes.Goran Lindgren has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Volvo Construction Equipment North America, Asheville, N.C., the sales, marketing and product support subsidiary of Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) Brussels, Belgium. Lindgren succeeds Dennis R. Slagle, who was recently named president and CEO of Mack Trucks, Inc. Brandeis Machinery & Supply Co. has named Michael Meehan the branch manager at the Fort Wayne, Ind. facility. Brandeis Machinery & Supply Company, a subsidiary of Bramco Inc., has been a distributor of construction and mining equipment since 1908 and is a founding member of AED. Headquartered in Louisville, Ky., Brandeis maintains
five facilities in Kentucky and three in Indiana.
