Attend INTERMAT 2006 in Paris.

Dealers looking for new or unique distribution opportunities and a chance to see some of the most innovative new equipment from around the world should consider attending INTERMAT 2006. Now in its seventh year, INTERMAT is an international exhibition of equipment, machines and techniques for the construction and building materials industry held every three years in Paris (alternating with Bauma in Germany and CONEXPO in Las Vegas).

INTERMAT will be held April 24-29 in Paris at the Paris-Nord Exhibition Centre. Organizers expect 1,500 exhibitors this year, including 75 percent international attendees. More than 200,000 visitors from 160 countries are expected.

The exhibit floor is organized into eight major sections: Earthmoving, Building, Quarry & Aggregate, Lifting & Handling, Roads, Drilling & Boring, Components, Equipment & Accessories, and Building materials. An outdoor area will host daily demonstrations of earthmoving, lifting and boring equipment.

New this year, INTERMAT will feature a Technological Innovation Area showcasing the various tests components undergo in real-life and simulated situations. In addition, educational sessions will provide trade-specific solutions to professionals from the lifting, handling, mining and quarry sectors.

On April 25, Matt Di Iorio, Executive Director of The AED Foundation will do a presentation on "How To Do Business With Dealers In North America" for exhibiting manufacturers. Other topics include the mechanization of the building site, changing work methods on the site, and attracting women into the profession.
