Sakai America recently implemented SmartEquip's Parts & Service Manager program, which is a web-based parts ordering and product support system. Parts & Service Manager provides a single platform for manufacturer service documentation and electronic commerce transactions - delivering continually updated product information to users, including intelligent parts diagrams, parts pricing, equipment diagnostics, service manuals and equipment specifications. Parts and Service Manager contains a secure pipeline for streamlined order placement, providing real-time on-line parts availability and accurately transmitting the order data directly from the customer to Sakai's ordering system. Foley Inc.'s board of directors has elected Jeff Merle to the position of vice president of machine sales. In his newly expanded role, Merle will oversee all strategic business planning, resource allocation, and day-to-day operations for Construction Division Machinery Sales, as well as the Foley Rents division. Foley is the Caterpillar dealer in Northern New Jersey, Staten Island and Bermuda.
Brandeis Machinery has promoted David Coultas to vice president regional sales manager. In his new position, Coultas will be responsible for the sales management of the company's Louisville, Lexington and Corbin branches. Brandeis Machinery is a Komatsu and Ingersoll Rand dealer based in Louisville, Ky.
Edgerton Corp. has promoted Joe Hewis to the position of sales manager. In his new role, Hewis will manage the sales efforts of existing customers, as well as the sales for Edgerton's IRUIM product. Edgerton is a supplier of software and technology solution, including the Minitrac and IRIUM ERP business systems. They also source GPS technology, wireless field technology, document imaging, Goldmine CRM, sales representative's assistant equipment configuration software, as well as networking and ASP services.
