50-year-old Florida equipment company counts great results selling at Ritchie Bros.’ Orlando auction

"The reputation of Ritchie Bros. really stands by itself"

Meco Miami, Inc. is a family-run, full-service heavy equipment dealer and rental business operating out of southern Florida for more than 50 years. With worldwide sales of brands like Sany, Yanmar, Atlas-Copco, Dynapac, and others, the company is well-acquainted with the complexities of the global equipment market.

And when they need to sell rental and trade-in equipment, they count on Ritchie Bros. to help them out. "We've been working with Ritchie Bros. the last three to four years, consigning packages to the (February) Orlando auction to help us liquidate it all in one shot," says Michael Vazquez, Vice President of Meco Miami. "The Orlando auction is really one of the best options for us to sell equipment. The auction itself has become an enormous event and the results are usually 15 to 20 percent higher than the other auctions around the U.S., so it really has become a great place for us to send packages (of equipment)."

This February Meco Miami will again be selling a package of heavy equipment at Orlando, including a 2012 Caterpillar 349EL excavator, three 2010 Caterpillar 336DL excavators, and much more.

As a buyer and seller at Ritchie Bros. auctions over the years, Mr. Vazquez knows that fairness and honesty gives confidence to customers. "The reputation of Ritchie Bros. really stands by itself as being the most honest and respected auction company in the heavy equipment industry."
